GRADD Accepting Applications for Vendors at Annual Arts and Crafts Festival

GRADDOWENSBORO, Ky. (3/29/13) – Green River Area Development District (GRADD) is currently accepting applications from artisans, craftsmen, and food vendors for the 41st Annual GRADD Arts & Crafts Festival, an autumn tradition in the Tri-State.

The fee for art/craft booths (15 feet by 15 feet) is $100, and concession spaces (also 15 feet by 15 feet) are $150 each. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until all spaces are filled. There is no commission taken on sales. For art/craft vendors, only hand-crafted items may be displayed and sold (no mass-produced items).

In addition to art/craft and food booths, the event will also feature artisan demonstrations, hayrides, children’s activities, and live music by “Heath & Molly.”

This year, GRADD is once again seeking the region’s best bean soup recipe. Individuals, groups and restaurants are invited to compete in the “Bean Soup Throw Down” on Saturday, October 5th, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Last year’s winner was Peak Bros. BBQ of Union County. There is no fee to participate.

The 2013 GRADD Arts & Crafts Festival will run Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
