stratton David 300OWENSBORO, KY (5/7/12) – Brescia University Professor of Art and Graphic Design, David Stratton, has been selected to represent Owensboro at the Sister Cities Art Exhibit in Olomouc, Czech Republic, in June 2012.

The other partner cities are in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany and Italy. Artists have been selected from these cities as well to exhibit. Stratton was chosen from several artists in the Owensboro area.

“It is an honor and surprise to be chosen from the talented and very skilled competition among the artists in this region,” said Stratton. “I am also grateful for Brescia University’s support of faculty professional development in their areas of expertise. This fosters the Brescia Difference by emphasizing cultural and professional development in support of excellence in the classroom.”

This exhibit will remain up in the Gallery Caesar for one month. Stratton will travel to Olomouc for a week-long artist program and a gallery opening reception on June 5.
