DUE TO HEAVY SNOWS IN WESTERN KENTUCKY...WIDESPREAD 6 TO 12 INCH SNOWFALL AMOUNTS HAVE HAULTED AREA TRAVEL. ISOLATED 15 INCH AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN REPORTED. DRIFTS UP TO A FOOT AND A HALF HAVE ALSO BEEN REPORTED. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION AND TRAVEL SHOULD BE AVOIDED IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. (National Weather Service)

walmart robbery_1OWENSBORO, KY (5/9/12) - On April 27, 2012, at approximately 11:30 AM, the Owensboro Police Department responded to a Robbery call at Walmart, located at 5031 Frederica Street.

Three suspects were allegedly shoplifting from the Walmart store, and when stopped by security, the male suspect brandished a large knife. There were no reported injuries.

The suspects fled in a silver Nissan Altima. It is believed that the suspects are possibly from the Evansville, Indiana area.

We ask the public to view our website for photos and video of the two females and one male suspect. It is possible that the male suspect has a tattoo of a cross on his left inside forearm.
