Island Resident Injured in Accident on KY81

accident w injuries redISLAND, KY (5/14/12) – On Friday, May 11, at approximately 10:44 PM, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Officials were informed of an accident with potential injuries on KY81 in Island, just North of Muhlenberg County.
 
Once on the scene, KSP Troopers found that 18-year-old Brittany Burden of Island was travelling Southbound on KY81 in a White 2003 Chrysler Sebring when her vehicle crossed the northbound lane, left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and came to a final rest in an earth embankment.
 
Burden was transported to Madisonville Hospital where she was treated and released.
