Owensboro Police Officer Resigns after DUI Arrest

arrest dennisonOWENSBORO, KY (5/14/12) – SurfKY News has learned that an Owensboro Police Officer has stepped away from his position after being arrested for Driving under the Influence.
 
On May 13, 2012 at approximately 1:30 a.m. an Owensboro Police Department Patrol Unit conducted a traffic stop of an erratic driver at the intersection of W. Parrish Avenue and Locust Street.
 
The driver, James M. Dennison Jr, was arrested on the below charges and lodged at the Daviess County Detention Center.
 
Dennison, an Owensboro Police Officer, has resigned his position. He had been with the Owensboro Police Department since October, 2011.
