Daviess County Election Results In

Vote 300DAVIESS COUNTY, KY (5/22/12) – In the Daviess County Primary Elections, 100% of the 84 precincts have reported. There were 7,989 ballots cast out of 66,883 registered voters for a turnout of 11.94%. In the race for City Commission, the field will be reduced from 11 candidates to 8 as a result of the voting. The results are as follows:

Mitt Romney, 66.00% (1,557 votes)
Ron Paul, 12.63 (298)
Rick Santorum, 8.61 (203)
Uncommitted”, 7.50 (177)
Newt Gingrich, 5.26 (124)
Total votes, 2,359

President (D):
Barack Obama, 55.41% (2,760 votes)
“Uncommitted”, 44.59 (2,221)
Total votes, 4,981

State Representative, 7th District (D):
Jim Murphy, 79.14% (884 votes)
John A Arnold Jr., 20.86 (233)
Total votes, 1,117

State Representative, 12th District (D):
Jim Gooch Jr., 53.23% (239 votes)
James ‘Jim’ Nance, 46.77 (210)
Total votes, 449

State Representative, 13th District (D):
Jim Glenn, 78.95% (2,018 votes)
