Local Woman Jumps from Bridge

bluebridge3OWENSBORO, KY (6/11/12) – On June 11, 2012 at 9:30 A.M., the Owensboro Police Department responded to a Water Emergency call at the Glover H. Cary Bridge in Downtown Owensboro.
 
A caller reported seeing a female stop her vehicle in the northbound lane of the bridge and climb over the railing. As a Patrol Officer was arriving, the female jumped from the bridge.
 
A Yager Materials tug boat had been passing under the bridge and was able to pull the female from the water. The female was conscious at the time, and was transported by Yellow Ambulance to Owensboro Medical Health System.
 
Her condition is unknown at the time of this release.
