Shooting Investigation Leads to Felony Arrest

ARREST LEEOWENSBORO, KY (6/13/12) – On Tuesday, June 12, 2012, Kentucky State Police (KSP) Trooper Jon Whittaker responded to Premium Allied Tool on KY 54 in Philpot in reference to Criminal Mischief complaint.
 
Upon arrival, Trooper Whittaker spoke with the complainant who advised they had a large window which had been shot out on their business by an unknown person. Also damaged was a vehicle owned by the business which had a rear window shot out. KSP sources stated that the incident possibly occurred over the weekend.
 
Another worker stated that a young male subject had approached her asking questions about the incident. Through further investigation, Trooper Whittaker located a subject who lives in the area who fit the description.
 
Mr. Layton Lee was charged with Criminal Mischief 1st degree and lodged in Daviess County Detention Center.
