Man with Medical Issues Reported Missing

missing police line 300DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (1/1/13) – The Daviess County Police Department has reported that a local man has been listed as missing.

On Friday, January 11, 2013, 29-years-old, of Red Road in Owensboro, was reported missing by family members. According to Sheriff’s Office officials, the family reported that Atchinson left with Phillip Smith, possibly heading towards Clearwater Florida to visit his stepfather. Once law enforcement contacted the stepfather, it was found that Atchinson never arrived in Clearwater.

The last time that Atchinson was seen by family members was on December 26, 2012.

Family members also stated that Atchinson had some emotional and mental issues, as he had been diagnosed with Agoraphobia, Paranoid Schizophrenia, Manic Depression, and being Bi-Polar.  
 
At this time, no further information has been released on this case. Anyone who may know of Atchinson’s whereabouts should contact your local law enforcement immediately.
