Owensboro Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision

breakingnews FATALACCIDENT_300OWENSBORO Ky. (4/8/13) – An Owensboro woman died in a two-vehicle collision on Veach Rd. this afternoon, Owensboro Police said today.

Authorities said the woman, Imogene Huff, 88, was leaving the parking lot of a business in the 2200 block of Veach Rd. at approximately 2 p.m. when she apparently turned in front of an SUV driven by Abby Mercer, 82, Owensboro.

Huff was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Mercer was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Owensboro Health, police said.

The Owensboro Police Department Accident Reconstruction Unit assisted at the scene. An investigation of the accident is ongoing.
