arrested handcuffs blue 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (5/30/13) – At approximately 3:30 a.m. today, the Owensboro Police Department responded to a suspicious person call at Unilever, located at 1901 Ragu Drive.

The security guard advised officers that a male subject had allegedly attempted to gain access to the property by stating that he was a reserve Daviess County Sheriff’s Deputy. Owensboro Police Department patrol units arrived and determined that this vehicle was involved in the incident. After an investigation, David Basham, 45, Owensboro, was arrested and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center. He was charged with impersonating a peace officer.
