Twenty Teams Take Part in Greater Muhlenberg Golf Classic

richey 1 300MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (6/17/13) – Thursday, June 13th, 2013, the Central City Country Club was the site for the 2013 Greater Muhlenberg Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic.

"Twenty teams took part, which is our largest tournament ever." said event coordinator, David Richey of First Security Bank. "And to top it all off, we even had one player score a hole in one." Richey added.

Elizabeth Ann Gentry aced hole number seven, scoring the day's only hole in one and receiving a $500.00 gift card.

Robbie Revo of chamber member Eaves Insurance told Surfky.com that "everyone at Eaves is always happy to come out and help support the chamber."

richey 2 300Joel Huff of new business Central Floor in Central City said, "This is our first chamber golf classic. We were proud to sponsor a hole.”

Overall winners were:
1st Place winner: First Security Bank
2nd Place winner: First Kentucky Bank
3rd Place winner: First National Bank

The award for the "Team that had the most Fun" was ATMOS Energy.

Richey added, "This is one of major events for raising funds for the chamber each year, and all funds go to promote local businesses, along with chamber activities.”
