Kentucky School Nutrition Association Selects New Child Nutrition Director

sabrina jewell 300HENDERSON, Ky. (6/26/13) – Henderson County Schools Child Nutrition Director Sabrina Jewell has been elected President of the Kentucky School Nutrition Association.
 
Jewell recently organized the 2013 KSNA State Conference in Lexington, KY, which brought together more than 700 school nutrition staff and industry partners from across Kentucky. Attendees were able to take part in workshop sessions focused on enhancing learning of new regulations, expansion of breakfast opportunities, increasing marketing skills, and developing leadership. School nutrition staff shared innovative solutions for increasing student participation in the school meals programs, networked with colleagues and nutrition experts, and explored food and equipment exhibits provided by vendors from across the country.
 
Sabrina Jewell will serve as President of the Kentucky School Nutrition Association until July of 2014. Her duties include presiding at all meetings of the association, building relationships among strategic partners, promoting membership among all districts, and assisting in developing training opportunities for directors, managers, and line staff across the state.
