Henderson Police Dept. Welcomes New Officers

dept criminal justiceHENDERSON, Ky. (8/28/13) – On June 7, Donna Sergeant graduated from the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training. Sergeant graduated from Lakeland High School in Suffolk, VA, in 1997. She has an Associate of Arts in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. Sergeant has been a member of the US Navy Reserve since 2010 and was deployed on Saturday, June 8 (the day after graduating the basic academy).
 
On Friday, July 12, the Henderson Police Department added an additional four recruits who graduated from the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training. Travis Goins is a 2008 graduate of Henderson County High School and has an Associate's Degree in Accounting Arts from the University of Phoenix. While in the academy, Goins received the Firearms Proficiency Award. William Russell is a 1993 graduate of Bosse High School. Kyle Stone is a 2007 graduate of Briggs High School in Columbus, Ohio. Stone then went on to graduate from the University of Evansville in 2011 with a Bachelor's of Science in Business. Stone has also been with the US Army Reserves since 2009. While in the academy, Stone received the Academic Achievement Award and served as a Squad Leader for Class 445. David Weatherholt is a 2006 graduate of South Spencer High School in Rockport, IN.
