Authorities Searching for Man in Vehicle Theft Investigation

crime stoppers 2013 01 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (9/11/13) – Daviess County Sheriff’s Department is searching for a man accused of assaulting his roommate and stealing her vehicle and credit card.

According to authorities, deputies responded to a report of the alleged attack at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 in the 4800 block of Millers Mill Rd. The female victim told police “she was in a physical argument with” Michael Robinson, 49, Owensboro, when he allegedly struck her with a ceramic object and fled the scene in her 2009 Honda CRV. Police said they believe he is still in possession of the SUV, and that it can be identified by the license plate 318 MBZ.

Deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Robinson on charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking (More Than $10,000), due to the value of the vehicle.

Anyone with information about Robinson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office at 270-685-8444 or Daviess County Crimestoppers at 270-687-8484.
