league bicycle logo 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (10/23/13) - The League of American Bicyclists recently announced its latest round of Bicycle Friendly Communities (BFC) and Owensboro, Kentucky made the list of honorable mentions.

Owensboro submitted the application in early Fall 2013 and will receive recommendations by the end of Nov. The recommendations will outline important measures Owensboro should take to become more bicycle friendly.

The League’s Bicycle Friendly America program provides a roadmap, hands-on assistance and recognition for states, communities, universities and businesses. The BFA program is a tool for states, communities, businesses and universities to make bicycling a real transportation and recreation option for all people.
