West Hopkins Launches Role Model Program

man school 300HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (11/15/13) — West Hopkins School has created The Cardinal Crew, a group made up of male role models. Fathers, older brothers, uncles, grandfathers and friends are invited to take part. Research shows the presence of male role models in schools reduces behavioral issues and increases student achievement.

Members help with car-rider and bus duty before and after school, patrol hallways and campus grounds to make sure entrances are secure, help teachers with in-class activities, mentor students and eat in the cafeteria with students. Participants must complete a background check.

For more information, contact the school at 825-6130.
