What’s Up in Owensboro!

thanksgiving2 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (11/25/13) - If you’re looking for some holiday fun this week, check out some of these events in Owensboro:

The 28th Annual Holiday in the Park
The festivities will be held at Legion Park on Nov. 29 through Jan. 2 all day. Giant elves, trees, toys, and figures will line Legion’s half-mile walking path. Don’t forget to look for Santa in his sleigh! For more information, call (270) 687-8700.

Christmas at Panther Creek
The outdoor driving lighted tour will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 through Jan. 8 closing at 10 p.m. on Jan 8. The tour will have 400,000-plus lights winding through Panther Creek Park. Wagon rides are also available. The charge is $3 per carload.

Holiday Emporium
The event will be held at the RiverPark Center from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1. There will be a holiday craft show, pictures with Santa, Santa’s Sweet Shop, a petting zoo, healthy living seminar, plus a healthy cooking seminar with Pam Simon. This is an extravaganza for all ages. For more information, call (270) 687-2770.
