fatal accidentOWENSBORO, Ky. (12/2/13) - The Owensboro Police Department responded to an accident with injuries call on Frederica Street near the intersection of the Wendell Ford Expressway at approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29.

The single vehicle accident investigation involved motorcycle operator Jake L. Yewell, 18, who had been ejected from his motorcycle while northbound. Yewell was transported by Yellow Ambulance to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Owensboro Police Department.
