Daviess County Honors Civil War Sesquicentennial

lincolnfaceOWENSBORO, Ky. (2/10/14) — The Daviess County Public Library, Brescia University, the Neblett center, the RiverPark Center, the Owensboro Museum of Science and History, the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art, and the Owensboro Symphony commemorated the 150th anniversary of the Civil War this weekend with a series of presentations and discussions centered around the local area’s role in the war. Opportunities for area residents to take part included viewing of historical displays, participation in a Civil War era luncheon, and attendance at exhibits and discussions by various experts.
