Blue Man Group
February 11-12  7 p.m. – RiverPark Center, 101 Daviess St.

Blue Man Group’s critically acclaimed show has been called “visually stunning,” “wildly inventive,” and “hysterically funny.” Although it is impossible to describe, people of all ages agree that Blue Man Group’s show is an intensely exciting and wildly outrageous experience that leaves the entire audience in a blissful, euphoric state. With no spoken language, Blue Man Group is perfect for people of all ages, languages, and cultures. This unique theatrical experience is like nothing else.

Johnny Winter Band

Feb. 12  7:30 p.m. – The Empress, 418 Frederica St.
The Theatre Workshop of Owensboro (TWO) has announced a special concert by legendary blues guitarist Johnny Winter on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Trivia Night

Valentine’s Till Death Do Us Part Murder Mystery Dinner

Feb. 13-15  6:30 p.m. – Pangea Center, 1320 Carter Rd.
Join Pangea for a night of romance and intrigue at the Captain's Cocktail Reception & Dinner aboard the Pangea Cafe Cruise Ship. Could the killer be the Captain, a seething spouse, or a conniving contestant? Doors open at 6:30.

St. Valentine’s Candlelite Dinner

Feb. 14  6-8:30 p.m. – Western Kentucky Botanical Garden, 25 Carter Rd.
Take your Valentine to the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden for a special elegant setting and menu for a Candlelite Dinner. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served starting at 6 p.m. in The Conservatory. WKBG also offers a preview of the Orchid Show. Dinner will be served at 7 in the Cottage in the Garden. Cost to attend is $50 per person by reservation.

Saturday Morning Live

Feb. 15  10 a.m.– noon Daviess Co. Public Library, 2020 Frederica St.
The Daviess County Public Library will offer a morning of self-guided fun and educational activities with a focus on literacy and school readiness.

Orchid Show

Feb. 15-16  1-4 p.m. – Western Kentucky Botanical Garden, 25 Carter Rd.
The Orchid Show at the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden will take place in its Conservatory. Orchids will be for sale.

Bourbon Ball

Feb. 15  6 pm-midnight – Owensboro Convention Center, 501 W. 2nd St.
The Sixth Annual Rotary Bourbon Ball will be held at the new Owensboro Convention Center with a night of Bourbon tastings featuring the finest whiskey from Kentucky, Moonlite BBQ “Bourbon Themed, music by the Jimmy Church Band and some silent auction prizes. There is no event like this one in the state especially to celebrate with your Valentine!

Unscripted: An Indie Film Xperience

Feb. 15  6:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. – Daviess County Public Library, 2020 Frederica St.
This six-week series offers the best local and regional indie fare; however, this is more than just an average screening. Following a question and answer session with the filmmaker, the audience is asked to view the film a second time and participate in a live interactive audio commentary. Ask questions as the filmmaker, along with cast and crew, discusses the various facets of filmmaking as you view their project. What film venue would be complete without drinks and popcorn, all FREE and provided by local sponsor donations. There will also be special door prizes and give-aways.

Owensboro Ballroom Dance Club Valentine’s Day Ball

Feb. 15  7:30 p.m. – Kentucky National Guard Armory, 3300 Tamarack Rd.
This is a formal event.
