OWENSBORO, Ky. (3/2/14) – Atlantis Boot Camp, a lifestyle fitness training center, has been up and running since December 2013.

Atlantis provides the opportunity for "a total body workout every day".

Sarah Hayden, fitness instructor who helps oversee the Atlantis Boot Camp facility on Carter Rd., said she encourages people looking to make exercise and better health a permanent part of their lifestyle to become members at the fitness center.

“My thing is, I don’t want people to join this just so they can get ready for a vacation or fit into a wedding dress,” Hayden said. “I don’t want it to be a phase.”

Hayden’s aerobics classes include a lot of cardio exercise, including a style known as Tabata – 20 seconds of work followed by 10 seconds of rest.

In addition to the classes, members can take advantage of the 24-hour-a-day gym workout area.

Classes are offered at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9 a.m. Monday through Friday; noon Monday through Friday; 6:30 p.m. each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; and 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday.

Membership cost is $65 a month, and is good for all classes.

10-visit cards are available for $60.

For more information about Atlantis Boot Camp, contact Hayden at (270) 231-1606.
