Accident Injury 01 red 300HENDERSON, Ky. (3/31/14) — A Tell City, Ind., woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident Saturday just after 8 p.m. in Daviess County, Kentucky State Police said.

According to Post 16 authorities in Henderson, Mariela Peralta, 24, was driving a 2005 Chevy Equinox on U.S. 60 after merging from Wrights Landing Road.

Peralta apparently failed to see Bessie Ramsey, 54, Tell City, Ind., as Ramsey was driving east on U.S. 60. Authorities said Peralta attempted to cross the eastbound lanes to travel westbound, resulting in a collision.

Ramsey’s 2010 Nissan Maxima ran off the road onto the median and spun 180 degrees before coming to final rest. Peralta’s vehicle stopped in the turnabout lane at the intersection of Wrights Landing Road and U.S. 60.

Ramsey was taken by ambulance to Owensboro Health for treatment of injuries.
