Warren MarrEntrepreneur Warren MarrOWENSBORO, Ky. (4/11/14) – Warren Marr designs business cards, bookmarks, and other printed materials as part of an at-home business.

He got his start doing the marketing for a non-profit where he worked until it closed several years ago. Marr also has a part-time job at a local hardware store in Owensboro and offers assistance to businesses with credit card payment collections through a company called Electronic Payments.

When asked how he introduces himself to potential clients and customers, he said he has thought of himself as an entrepreneur.

“Even though I wore more than one hat, I was it,” Marr said of his various business ventures over the years.

Wholesome Publications is a concept that grew from a hobby of design work when he was younger, and something he continued to use in other jobs over the years. In addition to design, Marr provides a variety of faith-based materials.

His partnership with the New York based Electronic Payments offered him the opportunity to meet people in business who need help setting up payment processing.

Marr said he enjoys dabbling in the various businesses because it affords him the opportunity to work with many different people on a range of needs. He said his experience has helped make him “relationship oriented.”

“I may not have the skills and may not know everything, but there are other people I can call who do,” Marr said.
