Second Children’s Advocacy Center of Green River District Benefit Rally Announced

child-advo-ctrOWENSBORO, Ky. (4/18/14) — The Owensboro Police Department has announced the second Children’s Advocacy Center of Green River District benefit rally, designed to increase awareness of child sexual abuse and help offset the cost of care that is provided to these helpless victims.

Spearheaded by Chapter One of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Group, the rally will begin at Western Kentucky University-Owensboro Campus and end at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Green River District in Henderson.

Registration will take place the day of the event, April 19, from 10 a.m. until noon at Western Kentucky University-Owensboro Campus, located at 4821 New Hartford Rd. in Owensboro. The fee is $15 per rider, and $5 for each passenger.

Lunch is included at no additional cost. In addition, there are event key chains for sale.

The rally will leave at noon and will be escorted by the Owensboro Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies. Once in Henderson, the Henderson Police Department will take over the escort to the destination.

No motorcycle? That’s okay because they will allow motor vehicles to participate as well.

Door Prizes will be awarded at the end of the rally.
