opd arrestlog2 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (5/15/14) — Owensboro Police Department reported the following recent arrests and citations:

Stacy Sholar, 45, of Owensboro, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Antonio Fortune, 33, of Owensboro, was charged with second degree trafficking of a controlled substance and failure to signal or improper signal.

Susan Warner, 52, of Owensboro, was cited on charges of operating a vehicle on a suspended or revoked license, and driving without insurance.

Karen Day, 42, of Owensboro, was cited on charges of driving without an operator’s license.

Thomas Van Hooser, Jr., was arrested on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place after officers received a complaint that he allegedly threw a bottle into the bushes while walking along Allen St. Police said they retrieved an open vodka bottle in the bushes and arrested Van Hooser.

Aaron Flaherty, 29, of Louisville, was cited on charges of no registration plates.

Kevin Hester, 37, of Owensboro was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

Johnathon Noffsinger, 32, of Owensboro, was arrested on a failure to comply warrant.

Nicholas McCarty, 28, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.

Aaron Duncan, 19, was cited on charges of no operator’s license and failure to produce insurance. Authorities said the charges stemmed from an accident in which Duncan apparently struck a parked vehicle.

Janice Shaw, 54, of Owensboro, was arrested on charges of second degree assault for allegedly throwing hot grease on her nephew during an argument between the two at her residence. Police also alleged Shaw chased her nephew with a knife. He went to the emergency room for treatment of second degree burns.

Rexel Taylor, Jr., 40, was arrested on charges of theft by unlawful taking or disposition shoplifting and third degree criminal trespassing. Police said Taylor allegedly stole items at Wal-Mart, and that he had been previously banned from the property.

Lindsey Kimmel, 19, and Brittany Griffith, 18, were arrested on charges of theft after they allegedly took several items from Wal-Mart without paying for them.

Cynthia Simpson, of Henderson, was arrested in the 3000 block of US 60 on charges of DUI, and later arrested a second time on US 60 on additional charges of second degree possession of a controlled substance and first degree possession of a controlled substance. The owner of the car she was driving during the second traffic stop, Karen Lickey, 56, of Henderson, was also arrested on charges of second degree trafficking in a controlled substance, buy/possess drug paraphernalis, and first degree possession of a controlled substance.

Micah Hollowell, 22, of Owensboro, was cited on charges of possession of marijuana.

Jerry Ross, 55, was arrested on charges of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, first degree possession of a controlled substance, and possession of an open alcohol container. He was later served with a failure to comply bench warrant.

Todd Carpenter, 46, of Owensboro, was arrested on charges of alcohol intoxication.

A 16 year old male juvenile was charged with abuse of a teacher after he allegedly argued with a teacher who confronted him about being tardy for a class, police said.
