OWENSBORO, Ky. (6/18/14) — An Owensboro man was charged with first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of marijuana.
Possession of drug paraphernalia, careless driving, and other traffic violations following a traffic stop by Kentucky State Police at the intersection of the U.S. 60 Bypass and U.S. Hwy. 431.
Kentucky State Police said Dewayne Fielding, 23, was allegedly driving 26 miles over the speed limit when troopers stopped his vehicle. Authorities alleged they detected “a strong odor of marijuana” as they approached his vehicle, which prompted an investigation.Fielding was arrested and taken to the Daviess County Detention Center.
