Six Injured in Four Separate Accidents

oboro police 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (7/8/14) — Owensboro Police Department reported the following recent accidents:

At 4:50 p.m. on July 3, Bernard Robertson, 18, of Owensboro, was injured when the bicycle he was riding was struck by Clinton Connor, 35, of Utica, on Frederica Street near W. 22nd St. Authorities said Robertson was taken to Owensboro Health for treatment.

At 7:48 a.m. on July 4, Thomas Shaffer, Jr., was driving south on an access road in a public parking lot. Police said as he started across the intersection at a four-way stop when he was hit by John Bivins, 20, of Hawesville. Shaffer was extricated from his vehicle and taken to Owensboro Health.

At 8:03 a.m. on July 6, David John M. Ruzicka, 53, of Owensboro, was riding his bicycle in the 800 block of Locust Street when he was hit by Joyce Snyder, 75, of Owensboro, at the corner of W. 9th St. Ruzicka was taken to Owensboro Health for treatment.

At 8:44 a.m. on July 6, Sherri Winnie was turning left from 4th St. onto JR Miller Blvd. when she apparently turned in front of Ramiro Guerrero, 32, of Owensboro. Police said Winnie told them she thought the left lane also turned left. Winnie and two passengers in her vehicle were taken to Owensboro Health for treatment of injuries.
