Bell Captures Greater Owensboro Championship Tour Title

golfclub wballOWENSBORO, Ky. (7/22/14) — Madisonville golfer Trevis Bell fired a 5-under-par 66, a tour championship record, to win the Greater Owensboro Junior Golf event and the tour's overall Boys' 16-18 Championship tour division title at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club Monday.

Bell excelled throughout the Greater Owensboro event. The Greater Owensboro tour features talented young golfers from throughout Western Kentucky.

Dawson Springs golfer Schuyler Storms (13-15 Championship, 88), Madisonville's Edward "T" Sanchez (13-15, 9 holes, 52), Owensboro's Steven Warren (11-12, 9 holes, DNP) and Hayden Crabtree (8-and-under, 3 holes, 17) and Bowling Green's Michael Lang II (9-10, 6 holes, 31) also claimed boys' division titles.

Hopkinsville's Mattison Lawrence (16-18 Championship, 85) and Kaitlyn Slaughter (13-15, 116), Kuttawa's Bailey Fowler (13-15, 9 holes, 54) and Madisonville's Kaitlyn Zieba (9-10, 6 holes, 35) were girls' division tour champions.
