OWENSBORO, Ky. (7/23/14) — Kentucky State Police Post 16 received a tip that an Owensboro man had escaped while on work release July 19 at the James E. Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville.
According to a KSP report, Troy S. Lyons, Owensboro, was apprehended after KSP received a tip that Lyons was in Owensboro. KSP posts 16 and 2 worked in a joint effort following the tips and were able to locate Lyons at 1833 E. 19th St., Owensboro.
KSP along with the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and the Owensboro Police Department apprehended Lyons without incident. Also taken into custody were three Owensboro people all charged with second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension. They were Sara B. Lyons, Dawn R. Fulkerson and Eric G. Fulkerson. Lyons was charged with second-degree escape.All were lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
