baseball base 300HENDERSON, Ky. (7/28/14) — The Owensboro-Daviess County 14-year-old All-Stars notched a 2-1 record in pool play of the Babe Ruth Baseball Ohio Valley Regional Thursday-Friday.

After falling to Janesville, Wisc., Owensboro-Daviess County posted back-to-back wins over tournament host Henderson and Jasper, Ind..

Janesville, Wisc. 2, Owensboro-Daviess County 0: Owensboro-Daviess County was limited to four hits as Janesville (Wisconsin) pulled away to win 2-0 Thursday.
Janesville plated two runs on five hits.
The team from Wisconsin made the most of its offensive opportunities in the tournament matchup.
Both teams fared well in the field.

Owensboro-Daviess County 12, Henderson 11: Owensboro-Daviess County battled back from behind to defeat tournament host Henderson 12-11 later Thursday.
Offensively, Griffin Haire, Nick Blair and Max Rafferty paced the Owensboro-Daviess County offensive attack with two hits apiece.

Owensboro-Daviess County 20, Jasper, Indiana 3: Owensboro-Daviess County rolled past Jasper, Indiana, winning 20-3.
Determined Owensboro-Daviess County scored 20 runs via 19 hits.
Numerous Owensboro-Daviess County batters contributed at the plate.
On the mound, Owensboro-Daviess County pitcher Jake Hansen earned the win. Hansen handled Jasper hitters throughout the contest.
After finishing 2-1 in pool play, ODC moved on to a single-elimination tournament Saturday.
