OWENSBORO, Ky. (7/31/14) — Daviess County Emergency Management is now accepting applications for Community Emergency Response Team training.
The training, which is set to take place over eight sessions, will offer courses on disaster preparedness, utility shut-off, basic fire suppression, basic first aid, search and rescue, terrorism awareness, disaster psychology, team organization and a final drill exercising the skills learned.
The courses will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each Monday night from Sept. 15 to Nov. 3.For more information or to sign up, contact the Daviess County EMA at (270) 685-8448.
