John James Audubon State Park Scheduled Events

Henderson Event 300HENDERSON, Ky. (8/4/14) — The following events are schedule for August and September.

August 2014

Weekly Campground and Park Programs
Friday, May 23 – Monday, Sept. 1
Audubon Campground
Visitors are invited to participate in arts, crafts, and activities focused on entertainment, recreation, and education between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day. Activities vary by age and change weekly.

Mr. B’s Monday Night Golf Scramble
5 p.m. (sign up by 4:30 p.m. ) every Monday night from April 28 – Labor Day, Sept. 1
Audubon Golf Course
Two person scramble. Teams need a combined handicap of at least 18. Sign up by calling the Audubon Pro Shop for this 9-hole scramble.
Staff Contact: Audubon Golf Store Pro Shop at 270-826-5546.
Cost: $20 entry fee includes regular greens fees, cart and prize fee.

Metzger's Friday Senior Scramble
9 a.m. (Sign up by 8:30 a.m.) Fridays from April – end of September.
Audubon Golf Course
This 18-hole scramble is open to all seniors (55 and over) and does not feature handicaps.
Staff Contact: Audubon Pro Shop at (270) 826-5546.
Cost: $28.50 includes cart, registration, and prize fee.

J Buck’s Wednesday Night Scramble
5:30 p.m. (sign up by 5 p.m.) Wednesdays May 7 through end of September.
Audubon Golf Course
“A” Players will draw for teams. This 9-hole scramble is open to all golfers with women and seniors hitting from designated tees. Sign up at the Audubon Pro Shop for this scramble.
Staff Contact: Audubon Pro Shop at 270-826-5546.
Cost: $20. Includes cart, registration, green fees, putt off and prize fee.

“Little Rembrandts” – Ages 3-5
10:30-11:30 Friday, August 1
Cherish those creative moments, with your little Rembrandts at John James Audubon Museum. Art classes will meet once a month on Friday’s from 10:30-11:30, with a variety of themes and art materials. Dress for a mess and discover the world of Art with Miss Kim. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required.

Adult Artists Retreat
Friday, August 15
JJA Museum Exhibit room
Beginning to advanced artists, are invited to participate in the all day Artist Retreats monthly from 9:00-3:00 p.m. Bring your own artwork and supplies. Lunch will be potluck. Special speakers and noon programs will vary monthly. Pre-registration is required.
