Update on Pride/West Noel Intersection Accident

WRECK updateMADISONVILLE, Ky. (5/2/13) – The Madisonville Police Department (MPD) has released further details on an accident that occurred just before noon yesterday, May 1, 2013, at the intersection of West Noel Avenue and Pride Avenue.

According to MPD officials, 67-year-old Donald Bennett of Madisonville was making a right turn, traveling westbound from Pride on West Noel. At the same time, 77-year-old Annise Cox, also of Madisonville, approached the same intersection traveling Southbound. Cox informed officers that when she was approaching the intersection she attempted to apply her brakes, but accidentally hit the gas pedal instead.
