MADISONVILLE, Ky. (4/1/13) - This week’s Business Spotlight goes to Hometown Insurance located on 108 S. Main Street Suite 103. Office hours are Monday- through Friday 9:00am-4:00pm.

Robin S. Duke was born and raised in Hopkins County; she is the daughter of Late Larry Rogers and Wilma Rogers and is married to Clint Duke of Hometown Heating and Air Conditioning. Hometown Insurance first opened June of 2006. Before Robin opened her own business, she was working at an independent out of state insurance agency. “I’ve been in insurance for about 16 years, I started out at a local agency in town then I transferred to another agency. I was there for about 3 years before I decided to take the plunge and open my own place. Everyone kept pushing me to start this business, so I finally did and I have been running it for 6 years now,” stated Duke. Duke has an Associate in Science and is a First District Constable in Hopkins County. She is also a Kentucky Colonel, has a real estate license for Kentucky and makes regular donations to the Hopkins County Assistant Center.
 
Hometown Insurance covers home, auto, ATV, RVs, watercraft, along with individual or group health and life insurance products including dental and vision, business insurance including workers compensation. They also do Medicare supplements, offer free quotes, and for those who are insured receive free notary and fax services. Duke also stated, “We do a lot of out of office appointments since a lot of people work really long hours. Monday’s are usually the days I do them; I’ll make appointments between 8 and 10pm, which makes a lot of difference. Most insurance places close at 4pm but I’ll do appointments anytime.” Robin represents companies such as; Safeco, Travelers, Hartford, Progressive, Dairlyland, Star Causality, Anthem, Humana, United Health Care and Lincoln Financial Group.
