Local Woman Arrested for Robbery on Starlite Drive

 

pope tara 2OWENSBORO, KY (12/28/11) – On December 27, 2011, at approximately 10:00PM, the Owensboro Police Department responded to a Robbery call at 1640 Starlite Drive.

The victim, Jeremy Easler, states that a black female approached him asking for money. When the victim pulled out his wallet, the female grabbed all of his money and struggled with the victim. Officers arrived on scene and attempted to stop the female as she got into her vehicle. The female, later identified as Tara Pope, struck one of the officers with her vehicle as she fled the scene, causing a minor injury to his leg.

Officers pursued Pope to her residence, and after a brief struggle, she was apprehended. Pope had left her three young children home alone during this incident.
