HENDERSON, KY (4/12/12) – SkillsUSA members from Henderson County High School are celebrating success in recent state SkillsUSA leadership and skills competitions that were held on April 2-5, 2012 at various locations in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.
Students from six different program areas from Henderson County High School, including automotive, carpentry, information technology, machine tool, visual communications and welding, competed in events displaying skills in trade and leadership. Overall, they collected five silver medals and one bronze medal.

Hope McLevain will advance to the national competition which is set for June 23-27, 2012 in Kansas City, Missouri at the H. Roe Bartle Hall and Municipal Auditorium. More than 15,000 people, including students, teachers and business partners, are expected to participate in the week-long event.
