arrested handcuffs blue 300UNION COUNTY, KY (4/17/12) – The Kentucky State Police and the Union County Sheriff’s Department responded to a disturbance at the Huck’s gas station in Sturgis, KY.
 
Prior to the arrival of responding units, Rudy Willett II, a Henderson resident, threw a clay flower pot through the front glass door of the gas station and then fled the scene in his vehicle. A search for Willett ended a couple of hours later when he was located riding in a vehicle that had been stopped by the State Police. Upon being contacted by Troopers, Willett attempted to flee the scene on foot. After a short foot pursuit, Willett was arrested without further incident.
 
On April 15, 2012, the Kentucky State Police were dispatched to a burglary complaint at Kanipes Loading Dock LLC in Dekoven, KY. Numerous items were stolen from the business including two computer monitors and a unique hunting knife. The hunting knife was recovered from Willett the night before. Further investigation with Willett, led Troopers to the stolen computer monitors that were later recovered and returned to the owner.
 
Willett has been charged with numerous offenses including Burglary 3rd Degree, Fleeing and Evading Police 2nd Degree, and Concealment of a Deadly Weapon. Willett has been lodged in the Union County Detention Center.
