HENDERSON, KY (4/24/12) – At the next Henderson-Henderson County Chamber of Commerce Brown Bag Series lecture, One Life Church representatives Bob Seymore and Heath Farmer will show how local chamber can utilize the upcoming Global Leadership Summit to both benefit their businesses and connect to the Engage Henderson project.
Set for noon on April 23 at the chamber office, Seymore and Farmer will discuss this year's world class lineup of speakers for the Global Leadership Summit, a two-day leadership and faith-affirming seminar organized by the Willow Creek Association scheduled for Aug. 9-10. For the second year in a row, One Life Church in Henderson will serve as a host site for the summit, which will feature speakers such as former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, "Good to Great" author Jim Collins, "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team" author Patrick Lencioni, education reform pioneer Geoffrey Canada and many more. The Global Leadership Summit is seen in 476 cities and 82 countries by more than 150,000 audience members.
"We want to show how local business-owners and managers can leverage the summit to help themselves and their employees," Seymore said.
The Brown Bag will also include information on Engage Henderson, a redevelopment effort focused on Henderson's East End neighborhood.
Farmer is a lifetime resident of Henderson and is the General Manager of Henderson Pediatrics, but most recently has also been serving as the campus pastor of One Life Church. Seymore comes to Henderson with several years’ experience in industry, but also has 25 years of leadership roles in church, education, missions and local outreach in the Evansville area. Seymore is the operations director at One Life Church and both Farmer and Seymore have been part of the original team of Engage Henderson.
Henderson Chamber members receive a special registration rate for the Global Leadership Summit and two people will receive a free registration at this Brown Bag lunch.
All chamber members are welcome to attend. The event is free and attendees are welcome to bring a lunch. The chamber can also arrange lunch for those who are interested. Please call the chamber at (270) 826-9531 to RSVP.
