KSP Post 2 Citizens Police Academy Graduation

FRANKFORT, Ky. (12/21/12) – On Wednesday, December 19, 2012, the Kentucky State Police Post 2 Madisonville held its graduation for the fourth KSP Post 2 Citizens Police Academy. The 10-week academy began on October 17 and concluded with its graduation on December 19. The classes were held at the Madisonville Community College.

Captain Ricki Allen, Post 2 Commander, and Major Mike Crawford, West Troop Commander, were on hand to present the participants with their graduation certificates.
 
During the course of the academy, the ten participants learned about the many facets of the KSP including patrol, traffic stops, collision investigations, commercial vehicle enforcement, criminal investigations, drug investigations, dispatching, special operations, and Trooper Island. Participants took part in simulated traffic stops and a mock crime scene. The class was also treated to a tour of the Western Laboratory and the Madisonville Post.
