HEND CO BANDHENDERSON, KY (1/24/13) – Seven Henderson County High School band students have been selected to perform with the University of Louisville Honor Band this weekend.
 
Students will travel tomorrow, January 25, 2013 to the University of Louisville School of Music to rehearse in one of three bands along with other students from Kentucky and the neighboring states.
 
After all-day rehearsals on Friday and Saturday, the students will perform a concert at the University of Louisville Comstock Concert Hall under the direction of Louisville professors Dr. Frederick Speck, Dr. Amy Acklin, and Dr. Mark Lynn.
 
The concert will begin on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time and is free to the public. Henderson County High School students who were invited to perform are Morgan Brady (clarinet), Taylor Clapp (trombone), Amy Jones (French horn), Brennen MacConnell (saxophone), Adam Smith (saxophone), Magdalena Welch (flute) and Anthony Wolf (clarinet).
