hend police arrest3 300HENDERSON, Ky. (4/15/13) – On April 14, a Henderson man contacted the Henderson Police Department to report an assault. According to authorities, the 18-year-old man said he was attacked by an unknown suspect while walking in the intersection of Green River Rd. and Sinclair St. The suspect allegedly demanded the man’s shoes, belt, and money, authorities said. He was described as African-American, wearing a silver “dog chain” style necklace, and black tennis shoes. Authorities said the suspect fled on foot toward Bend Gate Rd. after the alleged assault. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at 270-831-1295 or Henderson County Crimestoppers at 270-831-1111.

On April 13, Henderson Police were contacted regarding a report of a stolen weapon. Authorities said an Oak Grove woman told them her P22 pistol was missing from her vehicle while it was parked at a residence in the 900 block of Kingsway Court. Anyone with information about this alleged theft is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at 270-831-1295 or Henderson County Crimestoppers at 270-831-1111.

On April 13, Henderson Police received a report of a stolen moped. Authorities said the vehicle was allegedly taken sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on April 13. It was later recovered at approximately 2 a.m. on April 14 abandoned in an alley near Washington St. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information about this alleged theft is asked to contact the Henderson Police Department at 270-831-1295 or Henderson County Crimestoppers at 270-831-1111.
