Henderson Man Accused of Making Bomb Threat

(4/22/13) – On Sunday, April 21, Henderson Police arrested a 20 year old Henderson man after an unidentified person contacted authorities alleging the man made “statements concerning how he could use explosives at Henderson County High School.” The witness who overheard the conversation took a photo of Brenden Mathis without his knowledge using a smart phone. The witness then contacted police and provided officers with a photo of Mathis. Mathis was identified using the photo and he was located at his home, where he was arrested on charges of Terroristic Threatening 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony. Mathis was lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center.
