Greenville Car Show Postponed

CAR SHOW POSTPONED 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (4/26/13) – Due to such a large chance of rain Saturday, April 27th, the Greenville Fire Department Car Show will be postponed until Saturday, May 4th, same times and same classes. The Tri-State area is expected to get up to a half inch of rain starting today and running through Saturday.
 
Barry Waltrip FF/EMT Chairman Greenville Fire Department (GFD) Chairman of the fund raising committee noted that the car show will help raise funds to purchase much needed items for the GFD, including bunker area, radios, and day to day operations costs of the department.
 
"The Greenville Fire Department covers the county's biggest district that includes Copper Creek Strip Mall, Greenville Elementary, Longest Elementary, North and South Middle Schools, East and West High school campuses, MCH Hospital and much more. It takes a lot of money to fully outfit a Firefighter and to up keep the equipment. Registration begins at 10 am on May 4th." Waltrip noted.
 
Entry will cost $10.00. Registration will end at noon if you register after noon it will be $15.00 absolutely no registrations after 1pm. The first 50 entries will receive a dash plate.

The following classes:
1900-1950 Trophy's for 1st place Car and 1st place Truck
1951-1970 Trophy's for 1st place Car and 1st place Truck
1971-1990 Trophy's for 1st place Car and 1st Place Truck
1991-Present Trophy's for 1st place Car and 1st Place Truck
 
Modified Class ( this class is for cars and trucks that have been decked out)
1st and 2nd Place Car trophy's
1st and 2nd Place Truck trophy's
 
Rat-Rod Class
1st Place trophy.
2nd Place trophy.
 
There will be a People’s Choice Trophy, this is going to be by tickets the car, truck, rat-rod that gets the most tickets will win. The tickets will be .50 (cents) each and will be available for purchase at the main table.
 
There will be a 50/50 raffle, food and more.
