OWENSBORO, Ky. (9/23/13) - The Owensboro Chamber of Commerce gathered Monday afternoon to host the grand opening of UPS Store #6437 on Southtown Blvd. Store owner Charles Patel spoke to SurfKY News about his newest store location and the services they provide.

"I have been in the Henderson market for six years and I did well there," Patel said. "I had customers driving from Owensboro to Henderson so I decided to expand here."

According to Patel, the store offers a number of services including laminating, black and white or color printing, as well as many shipping services. Store manager Angela Mills went on to say there is nothing their store cannot package.

A couple of visitors walked away from the event with prizes the company gave away, including a flat-screen T.V., a digital camera, and a slow cook roaster during a random drawing.

Patel thanked the Chamber of Commerce for recognizing his business and the services they are here to provide. Patel said his short-term goal is to get this store "up and running," adding that if it goes successfully, he may be interested in expanding through a second location.

UPS is located at 636 Southtown Blvd., Unit 5. They can be reached by phone at 270-685-2073.
