Woman Stabbed in Fight

breaking news_stabbing_300HENDERSON, Ky. (10/14/13) – A Henderson woman is in custody on charges of First Degree Assault following an alleged altercation today at approximately 12:45 p.m. in Henderson

Henderson Police said they were dispatched to a "fight in progress" in the 100 block of Rankin Avenue, where they found Chelsie L. Stone, 18, Corydon, injured. Authorities said she "had been stabbed several times... and suffered numerous lacerations to her arms and hands." Stone identified Bethany Pearson, 19, Henderson, as her attacker. Pearson had fled the scene prior to officers' arrival, but she was found and arrested a short time later.

Stone remains hospitalized due to her injuries. Pearson was taken to the Henderson County Detention Center.
