Hancock County Man Charged for Making Meth

arrest alexanderHAWESVILLE, Ky. (10/18/13) - Kentucky State Police received an anonymous tip around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday that Richard Alexander, 43, was manufacturing and trafficking illegal drugs.

KSP troopers located Alexander in the 6900 block of Leah Lane, and observed suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside Alexander’s vehicle. Troopers arrested Alexander and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, third or more offense (methamphetamine); unlawful possession of methamphetamine precursor, first offense; drug paraphernalia (possession); manufacturing methamphetamine, first offense; trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree, first offense.

Troopers then were able to secure a search warrant for Alexander’s Hawesville residence and located suspected methamphetamine, methamphetamine labs, and methamphetamine precursor and drug paraphernalia inside his residence.

He is being lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center on $40,000 bond.
