Two Arrested on Meth Charges in Maceo

arrest rice spencer 300MACEO, Ky. (12/31/13) - Kentucky State Police responded to a call regarding possible illegal drug activity Sunday, Dec. 29 at the 7900 block of Kentucky 2830 in Maceo.

Upon arrival, troopers observed items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine located near the residence. After obtaining a search warrant for the residence, troopers discovered methamphetamine and numerous items used to manufacture methamphetamine.

John Ira Rice and Amy Sue Spencer were both charged with manufacturing methamphetamine first offense, possession of a controlled substance first degree first offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia buy/possess, drug paraphernalia deliver/manufacture, trafficking in controlled substance (greater or equal to two grams methamphetamine) and unlawful possession of meth precursor first offense.

Rice and Spencer are currently being held at the Daviess County Detention Center.
