According to a KSP report, at about 9:55 p.m., troopers went to 24240 Coal Creek Road on a drug complaint, where they located a three-room marijuana growing operation in a hidden section of the garage. They discovered 38 marijuana plants of various stages of growth along with various growing chemicals, marijuana seeds, how-to-grow literature, a quantity of marijuana, growing equipment items, a shotgun, five rifles, two handguns and $586.
Anthony S. P'Pool, 42, of Hopkinsville was charged with cultivating marijuana (fie plants or more), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and failure to notify address change to Department of Transportation.
Trooper Tyan Fox is the lead investigator and was assisted at the scene by Sgt. Daniel White, Troopers Jonathan Carlock, Jon McGehee and Joseph Bartolotti.
