emergency number 300HENDERSON, Ky. (01/07/14) - The Henderson Police Department is currently updating the emergency code number system for all businesses within the city.

In 2007, officers went to every business within the city of Henderson and assigned an emergency code number to that business. The emergency code number is on a sticker which is placed in a highly visible location at the business, generally the front door. If officers respond to that business after hours due to an emergency, they can give 911 Dispatchers the emergency code number to get contact information for the business owners and/or managers. This allows officers to make contact with the owners/managers to better handle any situation that may arise at the business.

HPD has found that very few businesses update their information when personnel changes are made and officers are unable to make contact with owners/managers. HPD would like to update each businesses emergency contact information. Anyone who owns or manages a business within the city of Henderson, should contact Officer Jennifer Richmond at 831-1295 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to update contact information and provide the emergency code number when calling or emailing. The information will only be available to dispatchers.
